Edirne mangosars ended up in Holeland for annual Wereld Kinder Festival's 15th edition. Until da last minute, it wasn't for sure who could come due to their school situations. This group is compiled by a local romani chief Mehmet Ali Koruklu, especially for this festival. They are not a band per se, even though they all know each otha, or related to each otha. Most of them follow their family's musikal legacy into new generation. Edirne is a border city of Turkiye between Bulgaria where a concentration of Roma folk live.

This group came to Holeland for 1,5 months for 15 official gigs (n all kindza unexpected street n overall performances). There were also 3 danceuses in da group aged 13, 14 and 17. Since they left their small provincial city for da first time ever only to land into da heart of hordcore Amsterdam, the contrast was so sharp that they really had to struggle to adapt what was expected from them here. Also the fact that they were applauded n adored as young talents on stage, n bein put down n pushed around as "thieves, n trouble makers" from low cast, stressed them enormously. But still their shows were bombastik in general. With gudubik on their side as a guide n "life coach" they had a chance to see behind scenes n get a grip of da tacky world of wicked man. The 1,5 months they stayed here, they blazed like hellfire, n passed on their frantik energy to da people around.

gudubik also visited them in their hometown Edirne at the end of summer 06, n experienced their world there. Coincidentally joined da wedding party of one of da danceuses who was only 13 takin part in a child festival just few months ago. It was all a unique experience for them for us n for all who had a chance to encounter w these horny teenagers who had musik n beat flowin from their systems like a waterfall flowin from da smoky mountains.

These recordings were made in 2 sessions in different dayz at studio rot in tiel, in june 06. It is somewhat chaotik n rambling but totally reflecting da soul of da Romani: "dil banjara".
Our meetin is da first step of our fruitful future atractions, beware cause u will b seein them as guest musicians especially in da gigs in and around Turkiye.
